Introduction to Travel rewards for TSBOR realtors
Join me on Wednesday April 25th at 3:00pm in the TSBOR meeting room for an introduction to the Travel Rewards system. This will be a one hour class touching on the various cornerstones of learning how to travel like a rock star, for VERY little money. This system is completely legitimate, and works within the programs designed by the banks and airline frequent flyer organizations.
In a nutshell, this system uses signup bonuses on certain credit cards offered by Chase,Amex, Citi, and others to leverage with airline frequent flyer programs to obtain reward travel. This travel can be domestic, and international travel. These range from economy class to mind boggling first class apartments on airlines like Emirates, Singapore and others.
My wife and I have been using this system since October, and in that time we have earned at least 6 round trips on Southwest for the two of us (including their recently announced service to Hawaii starting this year!) In addition, we are planning a 2 week trip to Australia in Feb 2019 with all segments in business class, with some miles left over for a trip to Europe or South America at some point next year as well.

Don't get me wrong, I have no problem sitting in a small seat on Southwest flying around the US for a few hours here and there, but for a 17 hour flight to Singapore followed by a 7 hour flight to Perth Australia, this seat looks like a winner. We just booked these seats, one way, for some points, plus $110.00. Yes, one hundred ten dollars!
So please, join me for a one hour intro to the basics of how this works. If you decide this is for you, I would be glad to help you plan your strategy! Wait a minute, you may be thinking, what is in this for Dave? Depending on what type of travel you want to do, certain credit cards can help you be the most efficient with earning the right bonuses for your desired destinations. Most of the best cards also offer referral points to people like me who refer their cards to others who want to earn those bonuses. If you choose to let me refer you your cards, I would appreciate it! If you have a spouse that is interested in this, you let me refer you a card, then once you have been approved, then YOU refer the card to your spouse!
Before deciding if this is right for you, please consider a few things. If your credit is below 700, you will not qualify for the cards you need to be successful at this. If your score is over 750, you are in great shape and will not be turned down for these cards due to your credit score. I highly recommend CreditKarma.com to check your credit, but you are Realtors and I'm sure you know that. If you are anticipating getting a loan, whether a home loan, auto loan, etc and you are close to a credit score that you need to stay over, this is not the time to get into this. When banks do a hard credit pull, your credit will take a small hit for a short amount of time, in my experience this has lasted is 1-3 months. However my credit is 25 points higher now than when I started 6 months ago. Also, if you have problems over-spending with credit cards, or if you keep a balance on your credit cards, this is not the right time. Keeping a balance on your card and paying interest to the banks negates any benefit of these programs and this isn't for you, at least not right now.
If you would like to come, please RSVP as we only have 30 seats. Thanks!
